• Alamo calculates rates based on a 24-hour period from the time of rental. If the car is returned later, late charges will apply. If a vehicle is returned later than 4 hours an additional day will be charged.
All surcharges below will be itemized on your rental agreement. Typical taxes and surcharges are as follows:
· 5% local sales tax.
· US$ 1.86 theft protection per day.
· 11.5% airport concession fee (only applicable if rental originates at airport)

The primary renter is the driver that is listed as the main driver on the rental agreement. This person is ultimately responsible for the Alamo car.
The rental agreement is the contract between Alamo and the renter. It requires the renter's signature and lists total charges and refers to the terms and conditions of rental.
In order to qualify to rent a vehicle with Alamo the following requirements must be met:
• A valid driver's license issued by the state or country in which you reside.
• Must be at least 23 years of age.
• Main driver must have a valid credit card.
Alamo provides you with a full tank at the time of rental. If the car is not returned with a full tank the renter will be charged for the difference at a higher rate than the gas station rate.
In case of an accident call Curacao Road Services at 199 and wait for them at the location of the accident, do not move your vehicle unless instructed to do so by the authorities. CSR will make up an official accident report. Remember to be truthful and accurate as your statements may be used in legal claims. Without this report any type of coverage that you may have purchased will not be applicable and you may be held responsible for the full amount of the damages. Minimal rental charge is 24 hours, rentals lasting less then 24 hours will still be charged for a full days rental. During some periods, minimal rental periods of 3 days may be required.
A reservation is confirmation of a vehicle which is reserved for a customer at a particular location, on a specified date, at an agreed upon rate price plus taxes, surcharges and fees. Taxes, surcharges and fees are subject to change. Modifications to a reservation could result in a rate change.
Alamo holds the renter responsible for the safe return of the rental vehicle in the same condition as it was rented, except for normal wear and tear. Unless prohibited by law, a renter may be held responsible for all damages, including loss of use, should the vehicle be damaged in an accident or vandalized. The renter may be asked to pay for the damage up to and including the total cost of replacing the vehicle in case of a total wreck or loss. Different types of coverage’s can be purchased to limit or erase your liability.
A 'walk up/in' is a renter who does not have a confirmed reservation prior to renting a vehicle.
The primary renter of the vehicle must be at least 23 years of age, a US$ 6 per day under age charge applies to all renters younger then 25 years.
• All drivers must show a valid driver's license at the time of rental.
• Certain specialty and larger sized vehicles may not be rented to drivers below 25.
• Alamo reserves the right to refuse rental of a vehicle if the renter demonstrates inability to handle road rules and conditions.

When a customer wishes to extend a rental, the additional charges will be paid directly to the renting location at the current local rate. The original rate of rental is not guaranteed for the extended portion of the rental term.
